Deluded
O my dear Beloved
I mislead my mind with games
I cloud my judgment of Christian life
And frustrate my hopes and aims
For I sing the hymns on Sunday morn
And I offer my tithe to the plate
I crack my Bible now and again
Pretending to meditate
And I will shake the preacher’s hand
Though his questions are eluded
Thinking this fulfills my Christian walk
I have become deluded
James 1:22-24. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
