The Crown of Rejoicing doubtless comes
to those who delight in winning souls
who go out weeping sowing precious seeds
making outreach their call, their goal.

The Crown Incorruptible surely comes
To those who run the Race of Grace well
Who commit to strict discipline, deny themselves
And focus on Jesus in order to excel.

The Crown of Righteousness will come
To those who long for and love his appearing
Who fight the good fight of faith
Run their course, keep the faith, not wavering

The Crown of Life will fitly come
To those who endure the trials of life
And overcome because of their love for God
They are ready to lay down their lives

The Crown of Glory will gladly come
To the shepherd, the faithful pastor
Who feeds and not fleeces the sheep
Who, the broken hearted restores.
