The Outworking of Love on Mon 13 Jul 2009, 3:38 am
The out-flowing and outworking of love
Is what matters most and counts
It’s not about what I know or have
But what you give from my heart.
So the way to go is to imitate Jesus
Who showed His love by His sacrificial death;
Redeeming, restoring and reconciling us
Who were once champion sinners, rebels, enemies.
Therefore to love, His way, I have to die
Daily to my sinful, natural and selfish desires
And look to the Most High to lift me high
To the height that is divine and gives Him glory.
To love I have to willingly, continually sacrifice
Spend and being spent and denying myself for others;
Rise beyond disappointment and demise, pay a price
See a higher cause, higher calling and bigger picture.

It’s not about what I know or have
But what you give from my heart.
So the way to go is to imitate Jesus
