1 The Potter's Wheel on Thu 18 Dec 2008, 3:28 am

The Potter’s Wheel

On the potter’s wheel, a ball of clay is thrown

And hidden in that clump of mire, a vessel waits unknown

But when the Master’s hands, touch that earthen clay

All its secrets are revealed and its beauty is displayed

God keeps us spinning, upon His potter’s wheel

Turning us and molding us, into His perfect will

And the blood Jesus shed for us; helps to moisten the clay

So our rough and ragged edges; can be gently smoothed away

To be honest Irv, I have never come across such a beautiful, powerful and philosophical poem in my life. Really it is amazing how you have put the potter's wheel and the blood of Jesus to mould us into the right shape.

I have seen how potter's spin the wheel and how he shapes the vessel using water, little by little and the final product is joy to the potter.

AMEN! to;

God keeps us spinning, upon His potter’s wheel

Turning us and molding us, into His perfect will

And the blood Jesus shed for us; helps to moisten the clay

So our rough and ragged edges; can be gently smoothed away

Please do allow me to use this poem in my sermon on Christmas. I have a small Church but we love preaching and teaching that lifts our souls and motivates us to follow God's commands.

God may bless you immensely in His loving kindness

Wonderful! Do you have a book also because if you have then I would like to buy one. If not then I humbly beg you to get it published and let the Spirit of God lead others through your poem.

God bless you

Thank you Pastor and FaithfulSon for your wonderful comments, and yes Pastor, you may use this poem. FaithfulSon, I do not have a book, I have thought about publishing one but I am not sure if the work is good enough. I enjoy putting on paper what God prompts and I am sure it is for His honor and His glory; but God has not opened the door any futher than a couple of sites. Blessing to you both, Merry Christmas to you and yours, your brother in Christ, Irv

I believe that your poems are far better than many other poets because your poetry comes from the guidance of Holy Spirit. Thank you for your permission.

God bless
