Pray With Expectancy
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil.4:6-7 NIV
[color=blue]Paul encourages us not to be anxious about anything, but everything through prayer and petition, make our requests known to God WITH THANKSGIVING and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will garrison our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus
We pray, not just about the 'Big' things but anything that causes you concern should be brought to the Lord in prayer. It also says with thanksgiving. Why, when you have just prayed?
When you thank God before you see the manifestation, you are saying, "Lord I know that You are a good God who keep His covenant. You are faithful and will not allow Your word to return to you empty. Thank You because you are good in all Your ways. I will wait in fully assurance that you are working behind the scenes to make your word good. Like Job, I will wait until my change comes. Yes, even if I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because You are with me, your angels and Your Holy spirit are comforting me. So I thank you as I look forward to the coming answer"[color:8f33=black:8f33]

Re: Pray With Expectancy
What a beautiful comment, it is so important that we remember that when we ask God for something that we are talking to the one who has created the heavens and the earth and he is able to do whatsoever he chooses. When we ask him we can also thank him and give him praise even before the manifestation. Thank you and God Bless You.

Re: Pray With Expectancy
Sorry Fenny I missed this beautiful guidance. This is same what Jesus did when He prayed, "He gave thanks to Heavenly Father first". This is how we should pray and then we need to be patient. Being patient makes the promise of Jesus comes true that whatever we will ask in His name He will do it because this glorifies Heavenly Father. This is amazing principle of waiting on God because through waiting we surrender before His will and CHOICE. Heavenly Father always choses the best for us. Thank you Fenny and Servant for your comments, I learnt a great deal.
