Sand and Blood
Before I met Jesus
My life was like sand
Falling through the nail holes
In palms of his hands
Escaping his grip
Avoiding his hold
Falling toward the pit
Out of control
Then I heard about Jesus
His gift to the lost
How he gave of himself
Dieing on the cross
And I said “Lord”
“If I was the only one”
He said “yes”
“It still would’ve been done”
And the sand stopped falling
It was held by his blood
And my life was changed
By his crimson flood
A new creature in Christ
A man anew
He asked “do you love me”
I said “yes Lord, I do”
