Gospel and the Neighbors

Thine own friend, and the friend, and the friend of thy father, forsake not, And the house of thy brother enter not in a day of they calamity, better is a near neighbor than a brother afar off (YLT Proverbs 27:10)


Neighbors are like family. We don’t want to offend them unnecessarily, because we have to live with them. We need to be rich in good works toward all men, but especially our neighbors. The Bible reveals that this is a legitimate means of evangelism. Jesus said, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). It is God’s will that "with well doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men" (1 Peter 2:15).

Many people do not believe in this, but from a personal experience I can say for sure that little concerns make huge differences. Asking them how they are doing - or if they need any help - sending cakes on Christmas or on any special occassion opens a way for them to see Jesus and His love.
Pray for an opportunity to share the gospel, and be prepared for it when it comes.

This is a very important article and I strongly believe that we need to spread love of Jesus through our actions and behavior.
