I'm Not Him

I’m Not Him
I was not born of a virgin, to become God’s only son.
And I did not receive the baptism, of Baptist John.
No miracles have I ever done, of what was said.
And never have I raised anyone, to life from the dead.
I was not imprisoned, to start my suffering.
Never ridiculed or mocked, as the Jewish king.
No hair was plucked inflicting pain to my face.
Nor spit upon my body to show me disgrace.
No scars do I carry on my back where I was beat.
There are no nail holes in my hands or even my feet.
No scars where the crown of thorns sat upon my head.
No piercing scar on my side, insurance I was dead.
I have no disciples that would ever run and hide.
And I am not the Lord that Peter would have denied.
I am just a sinner, not worthy of God’s gift.
And only through Jesus’ blood is my soul uplift.
No way in this world, could I have suffered his pain!
But I confess him as my Savior and praise his Holy name.
