A Somber Thought
A Somber Thought
The air was crisp with wispy clouds, skies were light blue.
The sun wore a pretty smile, greeting the day anew.
City sidewalks were so busy, traffic on the move.
And the heartbeat of the city, pumped in rhythmic groove.
A silver plane is seen in the skies, flying at a low altitude.
It slams into the twin towers, nothing anybody can do.
Oh my God, what just happened; an error gone so wrong?
And minutes later, came another plane, driving reality home.
Oh what a day in history it was, to see the twin towers fall.
And most remember where they were, it’s easy to recall.
Moments etched in our minds, scenes of this horrific event.
Yet most of us can’t remember, when we told God, I repent.
A somber thought of remembrance, aimed to jar your mind.
A thought more important, than this tragic event etched in time.
A thought not meant to anger, a thought not meant to dismay.
But Salvation is more important than all the horror of that day.

A very good picture and poem of the twin tower disaster
A Somber Thought indeed
"The air was crisp with wispy clouds, skies were light blue."
"The sun wore a pretty smile, greeting the day anew."
Without a doubt, "Salvation is more important than all the horror of that day."
Well done!
I thank God for your you, your pen and your mind.

What truer words could have been spoken than these!!!
None... Time has a way of going on us when we least expect it.
You have conveyed that here. Blessings.
