Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
This prayer expresses God's fatherhood to His human children. Today, adoption into God's family is still an exciting offer for anyone seeking His love and acceptance. How amazing the Holy Creator wants a relationship with us! By receiving Jesus Christ as Savior, a person is welcomed into the Lord's family. This happens even though you can never be as holy or perfect as the heavenly Father. Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, for ever. Amen (Mathew 6:9-13)
This bond isn't based on your own abilities, but on God's great love. The wording of the Lord's Prayer guides Christians to develop intimacy in their relationship with God. This prayer develops a connection between father and child.
The most important thing in this prayer to me is the verse
If I have to count, how many people I have forgive in my life that would make very few of them. If this is the rule applied in our lives, then very few of my sins are forgiven. And forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors
The LORD's Prayer is not only a guideline to pray but it also shows a path to walk on. The path is:
- To confess that Heavenly Father is supreme and all the glory belongs to Him only and not to us.
- The goal of our lives is to seek His kingdom first
- To seek His will and not our will
- To forgive others so that Heavenly Father in His love and mercy forgive our sins too.
- To confess that it is only Heavenly Father who can keep us safe from Temptations and sin
- To confess and believe that everything belongs to Heavenly Father, our bodies, souls, spirits, thoughts, actions, glory and worship
- To know that we ONLY worship Heavenly Father through our LORD and Savior in Spirit.
Prayer
Thank you Heavenly Father for Your love and mercy that You have shown towards us, knowing that as sinners we do not deserve this favor. Father great are You for great is Your love for us. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to Your heart so that You may rejoice in my life, in Jesus name. AMEN.
God bless you all

Thank you for such a nice explanation and I believe that we must forgive and forget people who offend us.

This is such a beautiful prayer yet I wonder why some Churches ignore this powerful prayer in their prayers. I loved the post and thank you for your service.

Thank you for such a beautiful article, I remember this verse because many of us read the Bible, read articles and hear sermons but never try to follow them. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like (James 1:23-24)
