His Word His Will and His Will is His Word Empty His Word His Will and His Will is His Word

The Word of God is the will of God and the will of God is the Word of God.

We all need to grow in grace in our prayer life- going from one degree of glory to another. Banding words about in prayer will get us no where unless we are focused and using the scriptures relating to where we’re sore.

Let us learn from this psalmist.

25
I am laid low in the dust;
preserve my life according to your word

(Ps119:25)

God’s word preserves, protects and provides answers in our predicaments; when we are laid low in the dust of life or death. It will lift us from the valley of discouragement and despair and inspire us to rise from the dust and walk on the pathway of righteousness for His name’s sake. His Word sheds light in the darkness. Remember:’ The words that I speak to you they are spirit and life.’ (John 6:63) The word of God is dynamic, living, razor-sharp, alive, medicine to our spirit, mind and body, full of living power, sharper than the sharpest knife. It exposes us for what we really are.’ (Heb.4:12)

Clearly the Psalmist understands the power of God’s in spite of his conditions and pleads with God to preserve him according to His word.

Why ‘according to His word?’
Our God is a God of integrity, Who cherishes His word. He stands by His word. He says what He means and means what He says. He was the One who said ‘Heaven and earth would pass away but His word will not pass away.’ He said the word that has proceeded out of His mouth will not return to Him empty but would accomplish that which pleases Him. (Isa55:11). ‘The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.’ (Isa40:8). He told Jeremiah; ‘"You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled." (Jer1:12)

Let us learn to plead our case with God when we pray. God will not respond to us because we cry, or worse still lash out at Him. He responds to prayers inspired by faith and His word.

Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified (Isa43:26)

26 Review the past for me,
let us argue the matter together;
state the case for your innocence
NIV
14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1John5:14-15

So when you pray to God and are smart enough to know that He does not go against His word, you can plead your case confidently according to His word that you are standing on and assured that your answer is on the way; because His promises are yes and

Amen in Christ Jesus.
