Words
He penned the words upon the page; so eloquent and free
They flowed like a gentle river; headed back to the sea
What would the message be this time; of faith or sacrifice
A testimony to a friend; a regard to loss of life
A plea from a worried heart; a sermon to be bold
A knock from our Lord and Savior; beckoning lost souls
What would the message be this time; a letter of something new
An enlightenment to the saints; a special note just for you
A hand stretched out to a fallen brother; a prayer to repent
A Thank You to the one above; whose only son was sent
What would the message be this time; of rapture and of fears
Or thoughts of an unworthy soul; blessed for all these years

Irv, your poems are like a journey, that is taking you to your destination with beautiful scenic views and when you reach your destination, the reminisces of the beautiful journey remains fresh in your heart. The more you think of it the more you enjoy. Thank you for a lovely poem that I enjoyed a lot.
