They sacrificed their lives for us to have freedom.
Families were bereaved as they fell at the battle front.
That's why we remember them, this November month
All our gallant soldiers, not just some.
Certainly, these were our World War 1 and 2 heroes.
We hail and salute their sacrifice and their courage.
We give thanks and cherish their memories and fortitude.
We celebrate their legacy, their investment for our sovereignty.
The price they paid towards our freedom, our liberty.
We do so every November and rightly so.

However, we also need to remember the Redeemer,
Who laid down His life for His sheep, to give them life.
He is the Good Shepherd, the Alpha and Omega,
The Way, the Truth and the Life, who came to give abundant life.
He died that we might be set free from the prison of sin.
He died to heal us- great and small, humanity -from sin-sickness.
He died that we might be liberated from the kingdom of darkness.
He gave His life for us to be rid of our blindness and wickedness.
The poppy speaks of the blood that was shed to guarantee our freedom
Just as the Blood speaks of the finished work on Calvary’s cross
Because of the shed blood, we have been redeemed from the curse.
And if you know Him as Lord and Saviour, remember and rejoice.
If you do not know Him in a personal way, then hear His Voice
All those who believe and make Jesus, Lord, can see God’s kingdom.
They have, not just freedom, but the freedom of freedoms.
