Garbage In, Garbage Out
Garbage In, Garbage Out
A young man came to our business the other day
We were having a computer glitch, by the way
And this young man went right to work
In his nerdy glasses and pocket protected shirt
And before long the computer was purring like a kitten
Relating it to a motor, all cylinders were hit-en
So I ask this young man “what’s the glitch about”
And he said simply “garbage in; garbage out”
I said “excuse me but I’m confused”
He said “let me see if I can explain it for you”
How’s your daily walk with the Lord
I said “what are you asking me that question for”
He said “computers are sort of like our walk with God”
I said “tell me more”; but the analogy seemed odd
He said “computes operate on software”
Sort of like Christians on faith and prayer
I said “how does computers relate to our walk with God then”
He said “you only get out of it; what you put in”

Re: Garbage In, Garbage Out
Wonderful and I am speechless. I wonder if you run a ministry because the poem gives a hint of it. It is so true that our walk with God depends on our faith and prayer. Faith comes in to action when we pray. Our mouths profess the omnipotence of Almighty and our dependence on Him. Thank you Irv for this beautiful poem. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it has carved a long lasting impression on my heartIrv wrote:He said “computers are sort of like our walk with God”

Your poem talks of Faith and hope and this is how I believe in faith that God is with mankind. He will wipe out every tear from their eye and death will be NO More. Those two scriptures comforts me to the point that I know God is always with me. Besides we need to know and feel this. Re: Garbage In, Garbage Out
The beauty of a poem is that you can say lot of things in very few words. I am amazed how you have used computer jargon like glitch and garbage in and garbage out. While reading your poem I remembered this verse of the Bible;
Irv you are awesome and a blessing.
We keep on getting garbage all day long and God in His majestic love keeps on cleaning us of our garbage, only if we recognize that we are storing up garbage inside us.Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)
Irv you are awesome and a blessing.
