Good Friday
was good because
It paved a way
Took away the curse
It preceded Easter
When Jesus rose
Three days later
As the Sun rose
Yes, the Son Rose
The tomb emptied
Sweet Sharon’s Rose
Jesus glorified.
Rose from the grave
By the spirit’s power
New Life He gave
Unfurled His flower.
