Foolish Darkened Hearts
O ye foolish darkened hearts
Bringing a cancer to our bones
Vain in our ignorant imaginations
That living “in the fullness” is gone
We’re a society of unthankful people
Moving away; from our Lord above
Drifting apart from God’s many blessing
With faded joy and diminished love
Hocked prosperity and squandered opportunities
Our life experiences filled with negative days
With worldly desires and situational excuses
We minimize God’s Word, His Will, His Ways
O ye foolish darkened hearts
With God’s gift we play our games
Forgetting about His grace and mercy
And trivializing why Christ came
