One of the Elect

Cover me over, like a tent Lord, with Thy pardon for my sin

Grant me that, enabling power; all sufficient, beginning to end

In the origin, of Thy excellence; in Thy virtue, so divine

In that condition, of Holy favor; in Thy free gift, for mankind

Let Thy influence or Thy spirit, regenerate and strengthen me

For I desire, that unmerited favor; Lord let Thy spirit, fall on me

Show Thy perfect, love unto me; my sinful soul let Thy uplift

In Thy unique, one on one experience; in a personal, relationship

I know, I need Thy presents; in all the struggles of my life

And I know, sin is not stronger; than Christ Jesus’ sacrifice

I know, You so love this world; that Your only, Son was sent

And Thy grace is all sufficient; Lord, cover me over, like a tent
