His Presence

Post  fennywest on Wed 17 Feb 2010, 12:11 pm

His Presence

Makes the difference
And this comes
Not by merit
But by grace.

When His presence
Is gone
We collapse
We become empty
Vulnerable
Useless
Doomed.

Cherish His presence
Do not trade it
For silver or gold
Follow hard after it
Fight for it
Pray for it
Bask in it
Carry it whenever you go.

His presence sings victory
in the house of God
But sounds defeat
in the camp of the enemy
Like the ark
Without it you lose

But with it you win

His presence
Makes the difference.

You have made [ known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Ps27:4-6 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.

5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.

6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.

Ps23:4-6 4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Gen 39:1-6 1 Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. Potiphar, an Egyptian who was one of Pharaoh's officials, the captain of the guard, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there.

2 The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. 3 When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. 5 From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the LORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field. 6 So he left in Joseph's care everything he had; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate.
Now Joseph was well-built and handsome,

How true this is! I know many believers that take
a Word from the Lord and run with it. They forget to
recharge their batteries so to speak. Yes, we breathe,
move and have our being in Him. Without Him we are nothing.
Thank you for this energetic poem! Blessings. Cinda
