For You and I He was killed

Post  fennywest on Tue 02 Mar 2010, 8:51 am

For you and I He was killed
Innocent blood was spilled
To rescue the perishing
Ransom those languishing
In the prison of sin
From the desert He brought us in.

The Just died for the unjust
Redeemed the Lost
Resurrected the dead
Fed them heaven’s bread
Revived the valley of dry bones
Brought us to the royal throne.

We were crippled, without hope
lame like Mephiboseth,
yet covenant spoke for us
brought us out of Lo-debar -
Barrenness, deserted. emptiness;
Gave us fullness, abundant life
Made us sit in heavenly places
Sit on the kings banqueting table
To feed from His presence daily,
As one of the royal sons.

Re:5:9: And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Re:5:10: And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Re:5:11: And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Re:5:12: Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Re:5:13: And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Re:5:14: And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.Rev5: 9-14,

Ro:5:17: For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

2Sa:9:3: And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

2Sa:9:4: And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

2Sa:9:5: Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.

2Sa:9:6: Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

2Sa:9:7: And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

2Sa:9:8: And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

2Sa:9:9: Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.

2Sa:9:10: Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

2Sa:9:11: Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

2Sa:9:12: And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.

2Sa:9:13: So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.
