Out of the Dark
Son, will you come in, out of the dark?
For I remember when your love for Jesus was sparked.
And you would tell me about church and God’s word.
You wanting me to go, I said “that was absurd”.
But you would not stop until it was done.
My heart had been broken and God had won.
Now, here we are, we have swapped place.
In church, I no longer, see your face.
Yet, you tell me of trials, that you’re going through.
Have you forgotten what we’re supposed to do?
Your faith is being tested but only for a season.
Trust in God, only he knows the reason.
Don’t listen to Satan and fall upon his the sword.
Cry out to Jesus, call upon the Lord.
God will hear you and Christ will intercede.
Remember what you said “Let God fill your needs”.
Son, I love you with all of my heart.
Please come in, out of the dark.

How sublime! And yet true!
Satan loves to get us to serve him
through out flesh, the lusts of we are
carried and fall away from our first love.
