Many books adorn my library
But one is most read
It is the voice of the Lord
Spoken by the prophets
My inspiration in need
Comfort in sorrow
Direction in confusion
Hope in despair
It is I tarry there
To be in your presence Lord
Is more than the wealth
Of which the world holds.
Nothing can give me
The wisdom, the direction
Which I seek and need.
It happened there,
In the beginning.
I have it all at my fingertips.
Your word is a treasure
I love and thank you for.
How blessed I am
To have it, to read it.
Thank you Lord for giving
Us your Holy Word!
