Why Importunity In Prayer?
The woman was a stranger to the Judge,
But you are no stranger to your Judge.
You’re the Redeemed of the Lord,
the apple of His eyes, blood bought,
blood covered accepted in the beloved,
a royal priesthood, a Holy Nation, Heir of Salvation,
Heirs of God and Joint Heirs with Christ.
She had an intercessor standing in the gap
But you have the Counselor, Holy Ghost
who lives in you, is for you and with you
and is praying for you.
He daily lives to make intercession for you.
She had no advocate,
but you have an Advocate
with the Father—
seated at His Right Hand,
pleading your case.
He has never lost a case
and will not lose your case
She had no promises to lay claim to
but you have the exceeding great
and precious promises, the unchanging
word of the unchanging God that changes things.
Is anything too hard for Him?
Nothing, absolutely nothing.
She was praying alone,
But the Holy Spirit is praying in You;
Praying according to the perfect will of God.
You may be lonely but not alone.
She faced a judge who is unjust,
But you face a Judge who is a just Judge,
in whom there is no unrighteousness.
He sends you mercy and goodness.
He does not use dishonest scales to measure.
He is good and fair in all His ways- beyond all measures.
So, if she prayed without giving up,
You should do the same,
and doubly so without a stop.
If she received her request,
You will not be denied of your quest.
Stand, wait, ask, seek, knock till you’re blest.
