Your Word, My Headlights (Divine Direction)

Your Word, my headlights
Showing some distance
Along the way home
By faith, I must walk.

Guide me with Your eyes
Following you is wise
Dispel all my doubts
As You take me home.

Few steps at a time
Is the way to go
No need to worry
About what’s unseen.

Lead me. You know best
You will lead me well
Take me safely home
Where I will find rest.

18 But the path of the just is like the shining sun,[a]
That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Prov.4:18
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Ps32:8

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John16:13

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Ps23:2-4

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the LORD upholds him with His hand. Ps37:23-24

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.Ps119:105

Loved your poem and thank you for sharing it. It is so true and we forget and try to look for light somewhere else. A nice and beautiful reminder. God bless you
