Let God be God
When God is God
It matters not
If He delivers or not
We know He can do
But if not, He is still God.
He has the final say
We still have faith in Him
He knows what is best
And does what is best
And allows what is best.
Let God be God!

Some saints are spared
Some fires of life.
Other saints thrown in
But come out unharmed.
Yet others are thrown in
And go to glory in flames.
But no saint is spared
All fires of life.

So faith should not be
In only what can do
But a decision to follow Him
Through thick and thin.

The Hebrew three
Went into the furnace
Were loosed in the flames,
Came out unsinged,
Not even smelling of smoke,
With their clothes in tact,
Changed the king’s decree,
Made the king praise God.
But Polycarp also had faith,
Believed in His God
Made the right confession
But went to glory in flames.

Paul was delivered
From prison many times.
Others were spared prison,
But in the end
Paul’s prison led to the gallows.
God was still God,
Had a final say,
Was still all-powerful,
But allowed Paul’s martyrdom.

Before Paul we had Saint Steven,
A man full of faith and love,
A man used to do the miraculous.
But his life was cut short
As he became the first disciple
to be stoned to death.
God was still all-powerful,
Yet He allowed it to be,
Because He had the final say.

Devoted, daring Daniel
Of excellent spirit,
Did not defile himself,
Prayed to God as usual,
Despite a wicked decree.
Nothing must come
Between him and God.
They threw him into the lion’s den.
God sent His angels
To protect and preserve.
Daniel came out unhurt.

John the Baptist
Was a forerunner,
A fiery preacher,
Who said it as it was,
Regardless of whose ox was gored.
He crossed the path of Herod,
Ended up in prison.
He thought God would rescue.
Why? Because he believed He could.
But God had a different plan,
So his head was seen on a platter.
Let God be God!

Over the centuries
Many sweet saints have
Have queued in either
Of God’s two processions:
Those He takes through
And those He takes out.
He may not tell you
Which procession you’re in
In the battle or fire you face.
Why? He is God and sovereign
Why? The Just shall live by faith.
Let God be God!

So believer, blood-bought
Blood-washed, redeemed
Citizen of heaven
Apple of God’s eye
Servants of the Most High,
Believe in what God can do
But also be ready to handle:
“But-if-nots” of life,
Like the Hebrew three said.
For when you’re ready to die
Then you’re ready to live.

Let God be God!

“Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. “Heb.11:35

“…faith in God is not simply faith in what God can do. But it’s the belief that God is God whether He delivers us or not. He has the final say. And it’s our decision to choose to follow Him through it all.” Albert Lee

Lord help us trust you all the time
Regardless of what come our way,
Accepting from Your goodness that
You always have the final say.- Sper

Life is hard, Bu t God is good – all the time.

Scriptures for meditation
Daniel3, Daniel6, Matthew11:1-15, Hew.11, Acts7, Rom16:22-32, Jer37
Revelation 12:11
New International Version (NIV)

11 They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.

Acts 16:22-32
New International Version (NIV)
22 The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. 23 After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. 24 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”
29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.

2 Timothy 4:6-8
New King James Version (NKJV)
Paul’s Valedictory

6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
