Fiery Furnace
There was a certain king that was so arrogant and vane;
He erected a golden statue to glorify his name.
At a certain time the horns would sound;
And as a loyal subject you would bow down.
And if you did not bow and worship in earnest;
You were taken and thrown, into a fiery furnace.
The king was told that three would not bow;
In the province of Babylon is where they are now.
Brought before the king and given to command;
They respectfully declined to the king’s demand.
Only to our God; to him we worship in earnest;
And the king became so mad, he stoked the fiery furnace.
Seven times hotter than it had ever been before;
Bound up tight, they were thrown through the door.
The king said “were there not three that were bound;
For now I see four, not hurt and walking around”.
The king called the men; to come out from their trod;
And they introduced the king to The Most High God.
