Victory Through the Valley

Winning through the valley of weeping
Is the perfect will of the Lord, saint.
So rise through it; make it a spring.
This is not a time to stop or faint.

God is for you and will bring you through.

He said, ‘I will never forsake you.
Your vision is for complete fulfilment.'

The giants you see will be bread to you.
Just fix your eyes on your Redeemer.
In the valley, revelation will come to you.
Through the valley God will make you prosper.

The valley of affliction will bring promotion,
Set you up for a great victory and come-back.
It will introduce you to mastery and dominion,
Give glory to God as you make a great mark.

Make the valley of Bacca a springboard.
Be lifted to the place appointed for you,
Foreordained, decreed, purposed by the Lord.
His Spirit is in you, with you and for you..

The valley of Bacca is the valley of weeping, anguish, disappointment; when things go wrong in your life, contrary to your expectation, yet you were trusting God, serving Him the best you can.

Every Christian goes through such times when you wonder, 'why'? And your enemies are saying, ‘Where is your God?’
This valley is not spared any of God’s children. If you have not been there, wait for it. It is coming. No matter how godly you are, you will come to the valley of Bacca. David was there. That was when he wrote ‘Yea through I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.’. That is the difference. You are not there alone. God is with you.
Notice the blessing of this Psalm to millions of people (believers and unbelievers) over the ages. Through what he went through he was able to comfort and bless countless souls. That is making the valley of Bacca a place of spring and a springboard. God used the adversity to bring maturity in David, give him a divine perspective; that it is not over until He says so; that God was still there regardless of the situation; that you can write a song that will comfort others or write a book that will be a gem or best-seller, blessing others from your experiences. That is how you make your valley of Bacca a place of spring. Paul was there many times and through it he wrote 13 best-sellers of all-time.( 2cor11:22-12:10)

Joseph was there as he went from the pit to the prison and then to the palace. Through his experiences he glorified God, refused to compromise, encouraged people even in prison and was used to save many lives during a great famine.

Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. 21 Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. (Gen50:19-21)

Also notice that as in Psalm 23 and this Psalm, it speaks of ‘walking through’, so it is not a permanent state of affairs. You are not making your bed there. It is not your fixed abode. You are walking through, so expect the Lord to make a way of escape, expect the Lord to give you strength to rise above it and be productive, inspiring others in spite of the valley. In Your weakness expect the strength of the Lord; expect your faith to be developed, increased and made robust through the valley. Expect to receive ‘songs' of deliverance, and Psalms of enduring quality insights, foresights and God-ideas. That is making the valley of Bacca a place of spring.

I have been there many times and through it God brought 100s of songs and poems, to the glory of His Name. They are blessing many today and will continue to bless many long after I am gone.

May you make every valley of weeping, a place of spring. May you make every valley of disappointment an occasion for an appointment with God. May you make every valley of anguish an opportunity to flourish; every valley of affliction a springboard for promotion.
