Redeemed of the Lord, New Creation
Know that you are a horse, and God, the Rider
Keep our face like a flint in concentration

This is a Race of Grace, so listen to the Rider
Put your confidence in Him, and not yourself
Without Him, you cannot be a winner
Therefore seek to glorify Him and not self.

Certainly, to win, you must be passionate
However, to the Rider you must yield
You just cannot afford to be obstinate.-
See the Lord as your Guide and Shield.

Subject yourself to the rigours of training
Requiring discipline, honing and pruning
Embrace the process; you’re work-in-progress
Without being refined, you cannot possess.

Your name is on the Land you crave
But you cannot enter unless you’re brave
You must take your eyes off the giants
Regardless of their threats and rants.

God has a good and great plan for you
He is faithful and will bring you through
Put your plans and hands in His Hand
And you will enter and reign in the Land.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27
New King James Version (NKJV)
Striving for a Crown

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

I returned and saw under the sun that—The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all. Eccle9:11

Romans 12:1-3
New King James Version (NKJV)
Romans 12
Living Sacrifices to God
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

James 4:6
New King James Version (NKJV)
5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

“ God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”[a]
Jam 4:6
Submit to God, Resist the Devil

5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

“ God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”[b]
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because[c] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.1Pet5:5-8

2 Chronicles 20:15
New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
2Chro20:15
Zechariah 4:6
New King James Version (NKJV)
‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the LORD of hosts.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
New King James Version (NKJV)
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
2Cor10:4-5
And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “ My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; Heb12:5
He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. Ps147:10
A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. Ps33:17
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! Isa31:1
And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother Hag2:22
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Put your confidence in Ps20:7
