Health is Wealth (2)
Cherish it, while you have it
Nourish it, thank God for it
Never take it for granted
It can vanish in a moment
Leave you in a lament

Use your body to serve
Pray to preserve
Don’t abuse it
Take care of it
Don’t desecrate it
See it as God’s temple
Keep it stable
Furnish and replenish it.

It was a battle for breath
They hijacked, kidnapped my holiday,
made me a nuisance almost everyday
They came down like a ton of bricks
With breathlessness sneezing, coughing
I thought I was about to meet my Maker
They chased sleep like a wild fire
For snoring like a baby it was gasp upon gasp
Sleeplessness plus distress and stress pressed in
Unrelenting, tormenting, forcing me to pray.

Ah! So I open my spiritual armoury
Launching, unleashing antiballistic prayer of faith
Unfurled the shield of faith,
booted with the shoes of the Gospel
Unsheathed the sword of the spirit- the word of God
Donning the helmet of salvation
Belting on the belt of truth
Pacing to and fro, up and down, speaking in tongues
Bombarding the gates of heaven with ,You said:
‘Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find
Knock and the door will be opened to you.’
Delving and diving into the healing stream
Taking from the Master’s table, the bread of the children.

I thank you, Lord, for my health
I realise now, it is wealth
Regardless of the recent bout
Your word is true, I refuse to doubt
Your Son took my sickness and my sin
Your word is health to me, my medicine
It is healing to one’s whole body
So I it apply it, now, to my body!
It is spirit and it is life
And it imparts abundant life
It revives, rejuvenates
Revitalises, recreates
Glory be to God!
