Waiting On God Has Weight

Moab, Ammon, Edom and Kings
Came with All boldness, formed a ring
Against Jehoshaphat- the king
Was in the boxing ring
And whilst he was not looking
Bang! The blow came in.

He saw stars and was scared
Enemies coming here and there
He did what was wise and fast
Called the whole nation to a fast.

The king led the prayers
Surprised players, mockers, Nay Sayers.
They all joined with him in one accord
They prayed the promises in the Word.

Then God gave them a strategy
Against their implacable enemies
'Sing, praise', was the prescription.
Sounded a silly suggestion.


And as they began to sing
Their enemies were greeted with a sting
They began to kill each other.
They saw the enemy in each other.
It was mayhem, nothing but slaughter-
Dead bodies on top of each other.

The battle spoils was superfluous
Overflowing, incredible, bounteous.
The battle blessing was too hefty
It took 3 days to carry.







Have your enemies surrounded you today?
Taunting you, saying, ‘There is no way?’
Don’t try to pull a fast One
Go in humility to the Holy One
Wait on God
Stand on His Word
Fast and pray
Do not stray
Lean on Him
Sing and praise Him.
Do the ridiculous
To obtain the miraculous-
Valley of Battle(enemies messing)
Turned into Valley of Blessing.
