When some MPs loot the coffers
Under guise of expenses cover
And jail the poor for looting
Bailing out the banker siphoning.
When QE only eases the banks
And leave small business broke
Going about with cup in hand
It is surely sin against the Land.
When the ‘have nots’ are muzzled
And the’ haves’ are cushioned and cuddled
There’s recipe for disaster
A concoction for palaver.

Pray for the Government to be courageous to close tax loopholes in their favour and in the favour of the rich, enabling them to pay less tax in the pound than the poor; raising fares, cutting public services and benefits to the poor and vulnerable and disabled, encouraging part-time jobs, low wages, reduced pensions introducing sinister schemes to steal employee rights and so making the poor poorer and the rich richer.
Pray for our boys and girls who are imprisoned in the life of crime deceived into thinking the easy street is the way out of poverty rather than hard work.
