He That Dwells in the Secret Place

There is a story of a believer, Frederick Nolan, who was fleeing from his enemies during a time of persecution in North Africa.
Pursued by them over the hill and valley with no place to hide, he fell exhausted into a wayside cave, expecting his enemies to find him soon.

Awaiting his death, he saw a spider weaving a web. Within minutes, the little spider had woven a beautiful web across the mouth of the cave.

The pursuers arrived and wondered if Nolan was hiding there, but on seeing the unbroken and unmangled piece of art, thought it impossible for him to have entered the cave without dismantling the web.

Therefore, they went on.
Having escaped, Nolan burst out and exclaimed, “Where God is, a spider’s web is like a wall.
Where God is not, a wall is like a spider’s web.”

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."

He That Dwells in the Secret Place

Promises-packed Psalm; power-packed Psalm, a gold mine, a great harvest; has more vault than the Vatican in its hay days, more colours than the rainbow; more potent than an atomic or neutron bomb, more arsenal than all the weaponry of the super-powers put together, a treasure of darkness, riches hidden in the secret places.

He that dwells: the Vital Condition for Great Promises
This sumptuous sup, table of delicacies, camp of calm and serenity in a storm is only available for one type of Christian: He that dwells- not in the counsel of the ungodly, not those who stand in the pathway of sinners, not those who seat in the seat of God-mockers, but those who delight in the presence and the promises of God.
You and I have a choice and that choice carries consequences. These promises would not just fall on your lap because you read it. It would not fall on your lap because it sounds like music to you that want to play it in time to trouble and when the trouble is over you dump it aside and continue business as usual. You must love to mediate on this psalm time and time again in summer or winter, when things are going great, or you are in the jaws of the lion until its rivers run in you. You must love it and live it to benefit from it.

You must have loved it in peace time and pondered on it, gleaned from it to enrich your soul before the troubled waters come, so that its medication oozes out of you automatically. Then its medicine will be effective and its power is released effortlessly for you to maximise the powerful promises contained in it.

The big question is would you dwell?
Let’s see pictures of dwelling in the secret place

Mark1:35
35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. Mark1:35
27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness ---
Paul2Cor11:
It is having the attitude of 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
Ps42:1-2
4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

Abiding
7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

It is for those who dwell, cultivating intimate relationship with Him, daily, consistently in the word, studying it , eating it digesting it meditating on it, praying without ceasing, seeking him with all their heart, waiting upon in to renew their strength dos that they mount up with wings as the eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. Dwells
It is for those who will wake up in the morning with: the cry:

1 O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.
2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.
3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.
4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

It is not for those who find his presence boring, a discomfort, inconvenience. It is not those who prefer the duvet more that the divine in the early hours of the morning. It is for those who will make the sacrifice and present themselves as living sacrifices on the altar of God, crying: ‘Altar me Lord on Your Altar, here I come.’
It is for those who habitually say:

1 How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts!
2 My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young --- Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools.
7 They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.

1 I will love You, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
It is for those who will pant: 1 I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.

They love his word more than their necessary food like Job.

“16 Let the word of Christ dwell in (them) you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. They know that God’s word is spirit and life (John6:63. They attend to His word, listen closely to what He has to say and they do it immediately like Abraham. (Gen12:1-4, Gen22)

It is for those who will wrestle with God: 'Give me Scotland or I die.' I will not leave you until you change me from a schemer, wheeler and dealer, to a Prince with God. It is for those who will not compromise their standards, who keep their garments clean, maintain their integrity whether or not people are looking; for those who have made up their minds not to defile themselves or bow down to the image of gold or worship materialism, like Daniel and friends and Joseph. It is for those who will pray as usual, even when their life is on the line like Daniel. It is for those who will preach in the name of Jesus even when they have been beaten, battered and broken like the disciples in Acts 3 and 4 and those who will dare to sing and pray and do it loudly after been beaten with rods and bleeding.

He who dwells in the secret place
The secret place:

The secret place is the holy place. The secret place is the place of repentance; the place where you are broken, humbled, rewired, fashioned, moulded, shown things from God’s perspective; the place of denial- self denial; sacrifice; the place where you die daily like Paul. In this place there are hidden riches which only a few can see. The world sees these riches as thrash; they are blind to them they see the gold as dross and go for the world’s thrash which they see as gold. Believers who do not dwell in the secret place see as the world sees and follow the world and cannot enjoy the goodies God has in store for them.

Under the shadow ..under his wings

There was An article in National Geographic several years ago provided a penetrating picture of God’s wings.
After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park in the US, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno’s damage.
One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick.

When he struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother’s wings.
The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies.
When the blaze had arrived and the heat had singed her small body, the mother had remained steadfast.
Because she had been willing to die, those under the cover of her wings would live.
----

The choice is yours and mine to dwelling Him and His word in us; to cherish His presence and nourish our soul; to be filled with His spirit continually so that we are strengthened with might in our inner being, awoken from the dead, quickened, renewed, invigorated and sensitive in the spirit. Jesus, after dwelling in the secret place came out in the power of the Spirit. Luke 4:14; then taught with authority; then went about doing good, healing all those who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him. (Acts10:38) He knew how to withdraw from the crowd to refuel.

Peter, after dwelling in the secret place saw the crippled man at the Gate Beautiful differently. And as the man begged for ‘change’ as usual, Peter told him, ‘look on us, silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give to you. I the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk! The man was healed, leaping, jumping, praising God. That is the exploits that await those who will dwell in the secret place.
Later we hear that people who knew about the unction on Peter’s life encouraged sick people to line up along the road he would pass so that even his shadow can touch them and trigger healing. They did and they were healed. Why? Peter had dwelled in the secret place.

14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,
15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.
16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
Acts5:15-16

In the secret place of Who? The Most High- the Almighty, the Sovereign Lord, The King of Kings and Lord of lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, the Lord of Hosts, the Commander in Chief; the One with whom all things are possible, the One Who decrees and it stands, commands and it comes into being. The One who measures the earth with the breadth of His hands, Who weighs the mountain on his scale, Who holds the rivers in the hollow of His Hand. The Rock higher than I- the Most High!

I will say of the Lord
And because I have dwelt, tarried, waited, fellowshipped, mediated on His word, enjoyed His presence, turned the promises, mauled over them, excited by their richness, bought into them, made them mine, I can say with boldness, with confidence, with full assurance of faith, without any shadow of a doubt; I will say of the Lord:

He is my refuge: impenetrable bulwark, hiding place; and my fortress, fortified beyond measure, my God in Whom I trust.

Surely: I have no doubts or qualms, no misgivings, He will save me from the fowler’s snares; and deadly pestilence, from the plague that parade at midday, destruction that prowl like hyenas or lions in the dead of night; satanic entrapments, sinister holes dug for me, wicked schemes designed to imprison me, diabolical flames kindles to incinerate my vision.

God will turn the destructive flames designed to destroy me into a boomerang that will refine my dross into gold and turn me into a sharp threshing instrument with a devastating ability to beat the enemy and make his mountain small. Like the Australian boomerang, I will return to the enemy to destroy him. Like David took the sword of Goliath to cut off his head, so shall it be. Every stumbling block set up to trip me shall be a stepping stone to a higher ground to the glory of God.

Only that which He allows will come and they will come for my good because all things work together for good of those who love God and who are the called according to His purpose.
He allowed Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to be thrown into hat fiery burning furnace that had been heated seven times hotter , but it was for their good. The glory of God was revealed. God was praised and adore by a heathen King. The same happened to Daniel. He was not spared being thrown into that den of lions but God shut their mouths and glory and honour rose to God as the King was overwhelmed about the power of God to deliver His own.

"Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!
29 Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this."
30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon.
Dan3:28-30

26 I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end.
27 He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
Dan6:26-28

Daniels’ friend and Daniel were promoted and prospered in the land. For those who knew how to dwell in the secret place and
So often you may be dwelling in the secret place and be thrown in to a river, or fire but be of good cheer, you are coming out better, brighter, bolder, more beautiful than diamond; more precious than silver.
God will be glorified in your life and that is what matters. It matter not what you go through but how you go through it.

So Psalm 91 is not a get out clause for all hardships. Ours is to pray, God’s is to answer the way he deems most fit. We need to move from faith to trust where we are surrendered totally to His will and knowing that His will is perfect: ‘not my will but your will be done.’ I may have prayed many times, ‘Lord take this thorn away from me,’ but I have heard Him say, ’My grace is sufficient for you.’ In your weakness My strength is made perfect. 2Cor12:8-10

Therefore, I am able to say, boldly, unashamedly: ‘Though he slay me, yet I will trust Him... When I am weak then I am strong.’ When He has tested me, I shall come forth like gold!’ I know my light affliction is working for me an exceeding weight of eternal glory. I may be hard-pressed, but I will not be crushed. I may be perplexed but I shall not be in despair. I may be persecuted, but I am not abandoned. The Lord is with me all the time. He said, ’I will never leave you nor forsake you until the end of the age.’ He said, ‘Fear not, when you through the fire. The flame will not kindle upon you. When you go through the water, you will not drown.’ Isa43:1-2

Testimony: I was unemployed for many months and owing my landlord. I turned a vegetarian by force, walked long distances as to save money to buy food, sold my musical instruments even as a musician. It was a time of severe famine. To compound my matters, I had health issues, suffered broken back and then a broken guitar that needed repairs. The amount I was charged was like a mortgage to me. Then I received a quit notice from my landlord. It was like all hell was let loose.

I would have given anything to avoid this humiliation and embarrassment. I have had financial problem before but this was on a different scale. I had fasted and prayed but God allowed it. In fact he called it Glitz and Glamour added to Glory. That was the word I received at this time! Why? All things work together for good for those who love God and who are the called according to His purpose. I knew He would turn the table. How and when I had no clue. I had to trust Him and keep waiting patiently. I knew the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off. I shall not go under for going over. My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. He presides and will provide. Provision is in the vision. At the appointed time He will open and no man can shut. I shall see the glitz and glamour He will add to glory.

My God, in Him I trust
: Some trust in princes, some trust in Friends. Others trust in Kings, celebrity and royalties of this world. And yet others trust in their accolades, their connections in the world, their talents, gifts, their houses, their fat bank accounts, their family, but my trust is in Him. In Him will I trust. When you move from faith to trust, you are well-covered. I surrender all. I am in safe Hands. I refuse to fret. Let His will be done. Let His kingdom come. The Everlasting Arms are underneath me. And that is sufficient for me.

God was using the trial and tribulation to push me out of my nest, comfort zone. My light affliction was working for me. It was painful, but gainful. My ‘enemies, detractors, tormentors’ were the unpaid guardians of my soul. What they meant for ‘evil’ will work for me.
he will deliver You:

In 1960, the Mau Mau uprising gripped Kenya. During that time, missionaries Matt and Lora Higgens had to drive through hostile territory on their way to Nairobi, well aware that many had met violent deaths at the hands of Mau Mau terrorists in that area. After dark, about 17 miles from Nairobi, the Land Rover they were driving failed. Matt tried in vain to repair the vehicle.
The couple was forced to lock the doors and pray for safety. They awoke safely, repaired the car, and traveled on to Nairobi.
Some days later, they heard an interesting story from an individual who was in contact with terrorist groups: As Matt and Lori had slept that night; three terrorists had come upon them and intended to kill them. Suddenly, though, the terrorists had seen 16 strongmen surrounding the car, and fled in fear!

Matt and Lora were puzzled about the identity of the 16 men-- until they returned to America several weeks later and heard the thrilling testimony of a friend: “On March 23, God burdened my heart for you. I called the men at our church, and SIXTEEN of us met together for emergency prayer on your behalf!” – Bill Bright, “How You Can Pray With Confidence” (1995 Campus Crusade for Christ), pp. 32-33.

Proverbs 29:25 “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”

I think of Peter and the Stephen and then James and the Paul in the prison in Philippi and the disciples in a Acts 3 They were all delivered but in different ways. For James and Stephen, it was delivery into martyrdom. For Peter in Acts12 an angel was assigned, as was the case with the disciples in Acts3. For Paul in Philippi, God rocked the foundations of the building and flung the doors and windows open with His jailquake and their chains fell off and they were set free and the jailor and his household came to know the Lord. When Peter finished his work he was crucified, (upside down) as he requested. When Paul finished his race he was ready to be offered; when he had kept the faith, he was ready to go in a blaze of glory; when he had finished fighting the good fight of faith, he was prepare to join the saints in glory and was beheaded- delivered into glory. God can take you out or take you through when He so desires and you and I have to be ready for it. We can be rest assured that He has our best interest in His heart. Move from faith to trust. Peter slept like a baby in that cell knowing that James had been executed and it could be his turn tomorrow; that is trust. Daniel, praying as usual despite the law that forbade him from calling on His God on the pain of death; that is trust.

11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

God has given us his angels as ministering spirits; they are our servants; waiting for us to speak the promises, pray the promises, plead the promises to galvanise them into action; instead of praying the problems. We saw them in action in Acts 3, setting the disciples who were imprisoned free and telling them to go and preach. They obeyed instead of running away.

"Indeed we found the prison shut securely, and the guards standing outside before the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside!"
"Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!"
26 Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,
28 saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!"
Acts5:25-28
Again we see an angel comforting Paul when he was shipwrecked, telling him there shall be no loss of life.
Yet again we see the angel that zoomed into that prison where Peter was held and tapped him

,’ "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands.
8 Then the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and tie on your sandals"; and so he did. And he said to him, "Put on your garment and follow me." Acts12:8

Angels are on assignment, saints. They are still at work. According to your faith, be it unto you.
They come in various shapes and forms. There are human angels too and you can be one of them.

I had one ‘Angel Michael’. God can use you as an angel because you love Him and are obedient to Him, willing to sacrifice, spend and be spent for Him. He stood by me when I had immigration problem, sponsored me financially, sacrificed his resources in the name of the Lord.

You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Why? It is your inheritance:

19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.Luke10:19
“because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
1John4:4
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Rom8:31
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
3 He will subdue the peoples under us, And the nations under our feet.
Ps47:3
12 Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies. Ps60,
13 Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
-108:3

Because we belong to the Most High
13 ... He who forms mountains, And creates the wind, Who declares to man what his thought is, And makes the morning darkness, Who treads the high places of the earth --- The LORD God of hosts is His name.
42 Then I beat them as fine as the dust before the wind; I cast them out like dirt in the streets.Ps18:42
20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Rom16:20

Jesus is the head of the Body. We are the Body of Christ. We have been raised with Christ and seated with Him in heavenly places, far above principalities and power and thrones and names- not only in this world but also in the world to come. Everything is under His feet. Principalities and powers are under His feet. That is where they belong- under our feet.

Because He has set His love upon me...
Notice the condition for these set of promises in this vault. If you have lost your first love, you cannot stand on the premise of these promises. If you do not love the Lord with all your heart all your soul and all your might, you cannot lay hold of these promises with confidence.
It is for those who have consciously set their love upon Him- just on Sunday; not when the going is good, but all the time- in the valley or on the mountain. It is for those who are prepared to bless the Lord at all times, whose praise are continually in their mouth; those who make their boast in Him. it is for those who see Him as their Rock, their Fortress, their Shield, Horn of their Salvation, High Tower, Lover of their soul, their Stronghold, even when they are confronted and ‘surrounded with the sorrows of Sheol;’ even when overwhelmed with satanic sirens, even when ‘snares of death’ confronted them, ‘pangs of death’ surrounded them, ‘floods of ungodliness made them afraid’, huffs and puffs of Goliath, taunt of giants day and night like Goliath did to Israel for forty days. Those who know who they are in Christ; those who will not despise the pleasant land because of calamities and tribulation; those who will make much of God despite the negatives that they see and speak like Joshua and Caleb: ‘If the Lord delights in us He will give us the Land. Be not afraid of them they will be bread to us.’

"
O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up." Dan3
:16-18

God says :therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My Name.

I will honour him because he acknowledges My Name as the Name above every other name that threatens; above any other name that wants to bury him alive; above every other name that wants to make him a victim of the vicissitudes of life. He knows that the Name of Jesus is like a high tower and the righteous run into it and are saved He does not back down when they threaten him to tone down his/her religion; he does not cower and hide because he has been beaten and bleeding and imprisoned like Paul and Silas. He does not back off because he has been told: ‘preach no more in that Name. No, he is fired up and replies:

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."Acts4

And they went to their company and they prayed, raising their voice to God with one accord and said:
"Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,
25 who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: ' Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the LORD and against His Christ.'
27 "For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together
28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.
29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,
30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus."

31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

They know that there is power in the name of Jesus because He had said:

23 "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.John16:23-24

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."Mark16:17-18
Matt11:12, Rev12:11
They know they have authority in the name of Jesus "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Mat28:18-19

And so He confirms their word with signs following.
They go as His Hands and Feet. Why? They have acknowledged His name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;Ps91

3 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
Jer33:3
15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."
Ps50:15
John15:7-8
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jer29:13
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
Ps2:8
24 " It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.
Isa64:25

Because they have set their love upon Him. dwelt in His presence, nourish their soul in the abundance of His sumptuous sup; lived – not by bread alone – but by every word that had proceeded from His mouth.
And when they are in trouble He said: 15I will be with him in trouble; I will not forsake him, I will be with Him in the valley, I will be with him in the fire I will be with him in the a water I will be with him in the miry clay, i will be with him in the dungeon like Jeremiah and Joseph; I will be with Him t in the prison like Paul and Silas; I will be with Him in the fire like Shadrach , Meshach and Abednego; I will be with him in the lion’s den, like Daniel.
I will deliver Him not as he thinks or wishes... but the way I deem fit- to take him out or take him through and glorify my name in the end I will be with Him
I will honour him like I honoured Joseph after the series of tests: pit, pride, prison, pardon, prophetic, etc: i will honour him like Mordecai was honoured by his arch enemy. I will honour him like I honoured Daniel and his friends after they had endured what looked like a humiliation and defeat.

With long life will I satisfy him
Long life is great if it is used for doing God’s will. Long life is good if you are passing on the baton of righteousness integrity and the heritage of the Lord. God does not want Methuselahs whose only pride was that they lived long but nothing to show for it. He wants those who will make their mark in life, leave an indelible mark in the sands of time to the glory of God. Our prayer should not be for just a long life but life long enough to finish your purpose in life, as foreordained before the foundation of the world.

Jesus lived for only 33years and made an indelible mark. Charles Haddon Spurgeon lived for less than 60 years yet he accomplished what 60 men could not do.
Hezekiah was told to put his house in order and that he was going home. He lamented, prayed passionately and God gave him 15 more years. Unfortunately, he so backslid big time in those extra years that it would have been better for him to have died and gone in a blaze of glory than live to brings God’s name into reproach.
Yes, you can pray for long life, but one of fruitfulness, productivity, usefulness, not just marking time, may be in penury, infirmity and infamy but one of going from strength to strength, victory to victory, faith to faith, occupying till he comes or takes you home.

Show me His Salvation
With long life will he satisfy me and. show me His salvation
Salvation belongs to Him. The battle is not mine but His. Stand still and see His salvation. Make Him is your Shield, Shelter, Fortress, Horn of your salvation, Rock of Salvation and Stronghold of Your life. Dwell in Him and He in and let His word dwell richly in You. Be being filled with His Spirit and let Him be your Helper, Standby, Strengthener, Comforter, Teacher, Counsellor, who unveils the deep things of God- the unsearchable riches of Christ, and you can stand on these promises and make them yours. You can appropriate them with the currency of faith and live a victorious Christian life.
15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"
16 So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, "Strike this people, I pray, with blindness." And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19 Now Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, nor is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek." But he led them to Samaria

shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty!
