The last day

This is the last day of the year 2013,
I will reflect back to see where I've been.
try to do better in the new year ahead
Remember the prayers that were left unsaid.
Oh Father, forgive me, for falling so short
I will do better, but I need Your support.....
Want to go by Your side, with You all the way
Take my hand and lead me, so I don't go astray.
I've been luke warm for all of my life
had nothing but heartache and terrible strife.
Been in a dark hole where the light was so dim
Please give me Your love, fill me up to the brim.
I will spread Your word, far and wide......
tell them how You were tortured and died
But; rose again so we could be free
to love each other and especially love Thee.
As this year closes and another begins
Please Oh Lord, wash free my sins
Let me feel Your touch,
show me Your way
I give You my all
on this wonderful day..........
