Stir Us, O Lord !

Stir Us To Repentance;
O Lord, stir us, we pray
To see the enormity of polluting our fragrance
And ignoring witnessing; forgetting to watch and pray.

Stir Us, O Ancient of Days, stir us! Stir Us, O Ancient of Days, stir us! Stir Us, O Ancient of Days, stir us!

Stir us to renew and guard our minds,
That we will have the mind of Christ.
Stir us to leave the things of the world behind.
And pursue hard after the heart of Jesus Christ.

Stir us, O Lord, to set our affections on things above,
Where thieves would not break in and steal.
Fill our hearts with purity, integrity and love,
To intercede until our land is revived and healed.

Forgive us, Lord, for our cold and lukewarm prayers,
That come from our heads and not our hearts.
Stir us to rise from being just hearers to doers.
Stir us, O Holy One; give us a fresh start.

Stir us to fan ablaze the gift of God in us,
To give the Holy Spirit full sway in our lives.
Come, Holy Spirit, Come Comforter, fill us.
Come and anoint, empower and revive.

Give us a new appetite for your powerful word.
May we desire it more than our daily food.
Stir us to cherish the revelation and light You have shed;
Not to quench the Spirit but hold fast to what is good.

Stir us, Lord, to motivate each other to good works;
To see the potential that You have bestowed to each one.
O that we will feed such potentials then till they rise out of the woodworks,
Giving praise and honour due to the Holy One.

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2Tim1:6-7
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, Heb10:24
14 So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
Haggai1:14
Ezra 1: End of the Babylonian Captivity
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, sayingEzra1:1

21 Then everyone came whose heart was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, and they brought the LORD's offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.
Ex35:21
