'Dead' baby wakes before funeral

A premature baby declared dead by doctors at a hospital in Paraguay was found to be alive hours later when he was taken home for a funeral wake.
Jose Alvarenga said he had discovered his son was alive after he heard crying from the box in which he was placed.
The baby is now back at the same hospital's intensive care unit and reported to be in a stable condition.
The head of paediatric care at the hospital said a doctor had not properly checked the infant's vital signs.
"This is a very unusual case," Ernesto Weber told the AFP news agency, adding that an investigation into the incident would be carried out.
A doctor who works at the hospital's maternity unit said staff had tried to revive the baby for an hour before declaring him dead.
"His pulse was so low that it was undetectable," Aida Notario said.
According to medical records, the baby weighed only 500g (17.6oz).
The smallest on record was an American baby who weighed just 280g (10oz), born at less than 22 weeks.
What an incredible story!
Thinking about this story I realise that it captures what often befalls many people. You are born into this world, full of hope and then suddenly catastrophe strikes and your dreams are shattered and you don’t know where to turn. This could be a loved one unexpectedly passing away and you wonder, ‘why?’ It may also be that someone’s mistake can ruin your future or make you history.
This was what nearly befell this child. The doctors got it wrong and the baby was nearly buried alive. It wanted to live but it was being taken home for a funeral wake.
Hell often conspires to snuff out the lives of those with a great destiny. Moses is a case in point. Born to be the deliverer of the Israelites that have been enslaved for over 400 years, but was born at a time when the Jews were so multiplying in the land that the Pharaoh wanted their number decimated. He therefore issued a decree that all males born to the Jews should be killed at birth. However, God hatched a humorous plan through which Moses was not only preserved by the Pharaoh’s daughter but he was also educated in the best schools and was cares for right before Pharaoh himself. Could you imagine that they paid Moses’ mother to look after her child whom they wanted to kill? Moses later identified with his people and fulfilled his destiny.
The same happened to Jesus- the Saviour of the world. Herod wanted to kill him soon after he was born but God , the Father warned the wise men to go a different direction and not go back to tell the king where Jesus was. Jesus was later taken away to Egypt until the King died.
Yes, there may be a conspiracy to bury you and your vision alive, but God will intervene, just in time to save you.
God has a plan you and I and so long as we hold on to Him, no one can bury us alive. They may try but they will fail because our destiny will speak.
This does not mean we will not suffer. Moses suffered, exiled for forty years before coming back at 80 to fulfil his ministry. Jesus also suffered and died on the cross to pay for the sins of this world.
Therefore your suffering will make you and not break you. It will make you robust and. It will bring you closer to God, who will encourage you and empower you to go from grace to grace, faith to faith and strength to strength.

This story also reminds me of the story of the woman who lost her only son and was met by Jesus when they were going to bury the man. The man was raised and given back to his mother. Imagine the euphoria after an unimaginable grief, despair and devastation.
Jesus Raises the Son of the Widow of Nain
11 Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. 12 And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” 15 So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.
Luke 7
Are you and your vision under similar attack? Put your trust in God. “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” Ps118:8
Even if they succeed in burying you, thinking it’s all over, remember that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. He can raise even the dead if you believe in Him. What He did in times past He can do even now. According to your faith, be it unto you.
So what is the challenge in your life? Take it to Jesus. Surrender to Him. Make Him the Lord of your life, then He will be your Saviour. Call upon His name, give Him your dead dream and He will breathe a new life into it just like He raised Lazarus from the dead,. With God all things are possible and all things are possible to those who believe.
