I Thank God For The Shield Of Faith

I thank God for the Shield of Faith
To which every enemy yields
All missiles and fiery arrows
Lose their power and stranglehold.

Thank God for Salvation’s helmet
Protecting me from the foe’s mines
God’s thoughts shall dominate my thoughts
I dwell on His thoughts about me.

I praise God for the belt of truth
Mine to expose all Satan’s lies
Removes the mask from deception
Opens my eyes to see beyond the seen.

For right standing breastplate, thank You
Not by my works but by your grace
By faith I stand on holy ground
Blood bought, accepted, acquitted.

For the shoes of the Gospel, thanks
With it I tread on high places
Tell of Your works, tell the good news
Proclaiming that Jesus is Lord.

I charge with the Spirit’s Sword
Dynamic, living, double-edged
Cutting very demonic tree
Taking the fight to the foe.

I pray with all kinds of prayer
Binding all wicked spirits;
Taking territories, dominion;
Flying your flag, crushing scorpions

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—Ephesians 6:12-18
