Safe Haven

Safe Haven
Satan is the Master of Deception; hiding his haughty eyes.
He draws me in with lust and envy; spewing his filth and lies.
He wields an evil tempest; taunts my prideful soul;
He shames me with my greedy life and all my sins of old.
He mocks my indolence, toward church and to God’s plan.
He laughs at my mistakes and enjoys me, a fallen man.
A glutton at his trough of garbage; he teases me to wrath.
Drugs, torture, rape and murder, he pushes toward this path.
But now, I have come to a safe haven; no longer to live in fear.
Jesus stopped Satan’s deception, his taunting and his jeers.
By, the fullness of God’s glory; Christ’s blood redeemed;
I am saved by God’s grace and safe, here under his wing.
