Portal Page

Here is how you will customize your portal page. Go to Modules Section in Administrative Control Panel (ACP)



Now do the following:

Space between block 1
Space between Columns 1
Activate Bodyline No
Modules header outside... No
Modules Footer... No

Module News Option
Number of News 2
Length of News 650
Board of News Bible Study Hall

Poll Module Option Leave it empty

Recent Topic Option: 20
Activate the recent topic: YES
Scrolling direction: From bottom to top
Height of the recent... 500
Time delay... 30
Step moving... 2

Click SAVE and preview how your portal looks.

Now Click Portal Pages Management and click Structure

Delete Guestbook as you donot need it, people can post their opinion on the forums.
Delete Forums Block
Delete Navigation Block as you already have menu bar
Delete Hit Counter as you do not need that also.
Delete Visitors Map Block
Delete Affliates Block, you also do not need it.
Delete Who is online Block
Delete Google Search Block
Delete STATISTICS Block

Now upload the following.

Upload Who is Online in the Footer
Delete Statistics in the Footer

Now click Management in the Gallery and click Add a Link

Category Name Write whatever you want (I use Member's Gallery) You can upload a picture for the category

Pics Approval Scroll down to Admin

Now click Homepage in the Gallery

Number of Pic... 10
Pictures and albums... 8 * 14
Show... YES
Show comments... Yes and click SAVE

Now click Configuration in the Gallery

Show Gallery YES
Enable rating... YES
Select picture rating... Select your choice
Click YES to the rest of the options and click SAVE and click Upload

Maximum picture size 4
Maximum length 1280
Maximum height 1024
Dynamic... YES and click SAVE.

Now go to Portal Structure again and upload Gallery on the 3 column and look at your Portal Page, if everything is ok, then you have your portal page. It should look in order. Just see my portal page. All the columns end at same height.

Now you need to correct Ps 23. Select Font size 2 and I will send you some graphic to go with it.

I am making a Header for your forum, because this is a temporary one. It will take some time. Next time we will work on Categories and Forums.

Waqar Daniel, thank you. Everything looks right except the picture is not showing in the gallery on the portal page. I went over your instructions several times, but can't seem to get it to work. Please let me know how to show the picture that I have uploaded. Thank you again for your patience and help.

Waqar Daniel, I think my problem with the Gallery is that I do not have any points that I can activate the gallery yet. I have been in the forum support and this is the only thing that makes sense.

Dear Susan

Open your ACP and go to



And click Management




And click



to make a category, a new page will open up


Make a category Members' Gallery, write description like "Dear members please upload your picture here" Keep it to Gallery Root and click Disabled.



Save this picture to your computer and click Browse and upload this picture and click SAVE.

Now click configuration and a new page will open up and click the following boxes YES.



Click Pictures and Buttons and click Save Settings Now in the Portal page upload the Gallery Block. Now go to Portal Page and click Gallery and upload your picture.

After that in ACP go to General and click Hierarchy and click Split Categories on Index to None. Leave others Uncheck.
