Prepare ye the Way of the Lord in 2009

'Prepare ye the way of the Lord.'
Proclaim; spread the news of His coming.
My heart is His causeway, His royal throne.
Every valley of doubt and despair must be lifted.
Every lowly, demeaning unbefitting thought must go.
Selfishness and carnality must be carted away.

'Every mountain must be laid low.'
Pride that goeth before a fall must bow.
Self-righteousness, self-sufficiency must go.
Boastfulness and high-mindedness must bow.
God resists the proud, gives grace to the humble.
I will humble myself under His mighty Arms.

'The crooked path shall be made straight'.
I must end all wavering in the face of His word.
Double mindedness is not my portion.
The will of God is the Word of God,
And the Word of God is the will of God.
My high way must mirror the New and Living Way.

'The rough places shall be made smooth.'
No potholes of unfaithfulness and sloppiness.
I shall polish, hone and perfect my craft
My King deserves the best, for He gave his best.
The divine plumb line will be use to guide;
No cutting of corners, no expense spared.
