Did all of Egypt's livestock die or not? Empty Did all of Egypt's livestock die or not?

"Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and speak to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, "Let My people go, that they may serve Me. "For if you refuse to let them go, and continue to hold them, behold, the hand of the Lord will come with a very severe pestilence on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks. "But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that nothing will die of all that belongs to the sons of Israel."’" And the Lord set a definite time, saying, "Tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land." So the Lord did this thing on the morrow, and all the livestock of Egypt died; but of the livestock of the sons of Israel, not one died. And Pharaoh sent, and behold, there was not even one of the livestock of Israel dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go." (Exodus 9:1-7)

"Behold, about this time tomorrow, I will send a very heavy hail, such as has not been seen in Egypt from the day it was founded until now. "Now therefore send, bring your livestock and whatever you have in the field to safety. Every man and beast that is found in the field and is not brought home, when the hail comes down on them, will die."’" The one among the servants of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses; but he who paid no regard to the word of the Lord left his servants and his livestock in the field." (Exodus 9:18-21)

In Exodus 9:6, we read that So the Lord did this thing on the morrow, and all the livestock of Egypt died; but of the livestock of the sons of Israel, not one died. and in Exodus 9:20, we read that The one among the servants of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses; . Therefore what is true, did all the livestock of Egypt died or some got saved?

The answer is simple, in Exodus 9:2-3, God tells Moses to inform Pharaoh to let Israelites go otherwise, all horses, donkeys, camels, herds and flocks will be destroyed but the livestock that belong to Israelites will be saved. Pharaoh and Egyptians at large ignore the warning and let their horses, donkeys, camels, hers and flocks graze in the fields.

In Exodus 9:20, few of the Pharaoh's servant who had seen God working against Pharaoh, feared God and brought their livestock inside in their houses and therefore, their livestock was saved. But rest of the Egyptians who did not fear God's warning, their livestock lay dead.

There is no contradiction here, as God warned Pharaoh and Egyptians, that He would kill all the livestock in the fields, He did that. All the livestock including, horses, donkeys, camels, herds and flocks were killed that were in the field. Pharaoh also was not concerned about his loss but he sent out his servants to check on the loss of Israelites and they found none.

God bless you all

I have a question here, how do you understand the Bible this way? These are difficult passages from the Bible and you explain them and make them so easy to understand. I still remember, the article on "Can God change?", I have been bombarded with this question by few of my colleagues and I was unable to explain them. They used to laugh at me and last day I explained them and left them speechless. I would like to know, how do you put these puzzles together? God bless you

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3)

I simply claim God's promise to me and, I pray before reading the Bible to God to send Holy Spirit on me so that I can understand it and use it my life.

It all began when I was 17 years old, when I found this Book by Sheikh Ahmedeedat "Is the Bible Word of God?". The book talked of many contradictions and I started to work on it through prayers and it took me not more than 3 months to understand the deception presented as contradictions in the Bible by Ahmeddeedat.

I am writring about them one by one and hope that I will cover all those alleged 101 contradictions in the Bible.

Thank you for liking it and showing interest. One thing I would mention here is that when you read Bible keep a note-book and a pen with you and whatever verse you like, write it down. Atleast this way I remember verses and can connect them with others.

God bless you and your family
