Guard Yourself

Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you - guard it with the help of Holy Spirit, who lives in us (2 Timothy 1:14)
The word that is of interest here is, "entrusted to you" - Why I am interested in it? The Bible says that God "entrusted" the good deposit with us and we are also told to guard it with the help of Holy Spirit.
First, let us understand what this "good deposit" is. To me, it is our life, as this belongs to God, Himself. We are not of satan, therefore, we need to guard our life from moral decay and eternal death.
God has laid many rules for us to follow. I want to concentrate on one rule and that is:
"Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips" (Exodus 23:13)
This is a very important thing to understand. When we, talk of other gods, we actually open a door to devil. There are many people in the world, who would reason with you that all gods are good. They may also go on and say "all gods reflect" our God the Father. One most interesting remark I heard, "Love other gods, so that they may love God the Father".
How deceived they are - satan and his forces have no place in our lives. We worship only One God, the Father, through our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, through Holy Spirit.
May God keep us safe from satan and his cunning deceptions.
