Ru:2:1: And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.
Ru:2:2: And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
Ru:2:3: And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.
Ru:2:4: And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee.
Ru:2:5: Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?
Ru:2:6: And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:
Ru:2:7: And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.
Ru:2:8: Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:
Ru:2:9: Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.
Ru:2:10: Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?
Ru:2:11: And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
Ru:2:12: The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

It’s not over until It’s Over

Until God says so

So ignore the foe.
Your destiny will speak.
It matters not if you're weak

Be steadfast as His face you seek

At the appointed time

Your story will change.
As you remain humble
Working hard in His presence

Maintaining the spirit of excellence
Debunking the attitude of indolence

God will bring favour to you
He will bring fortune to you
He will bring protection to you
And will bring provision to you.

Because He is faithful and true

It looked all over for Ruth who married one of Naomi’s sons.

Calamity, catastrophe, struck in the life of Naomi who had gone to a foreign land with her husband , Elimelech, in search of a better life with the hope of avoiding the famine back home. But now she did not just lose her husband but also her children who had gotten married to foreign women- Orpah and Ruth and had no children with them. It looked all over for Naomi, not to talk of Ruth. Naomi considered her life bitter, her future bleak, her hopes and dreams battered and shattered. In tears she persuaded her daughters-in-law to return to their home lands as she packed her bags to head home in shame, depressed and in despair and hopelessness. But the two daughters in law refused. She continued to persuade them until Orpah succumbed. But Ruth was adamant, vowing ‘where you go, I will go, your people shall be my people your God shall be my God, where you die I will die and where your buried I will be buried.’ What a love and loyalty!

Here we see in our story, they have arrived home. Their story did not change immediately, but we see the beginning of a great story unfolding. Ruth has caught the attention of Boaz, a rich, honest, noble man who could change her life; we see favour greeting Ruth’s loyalty and love for her sister-in-law and love for her God.

We also see that she is provided for superabundantly and advised to stay in that vineyard and given assurance of not only provision but also protection from molestation or violation.

Yes, she meets a man who will transform her fortune her destiny and make her dream come true.

Similarly as you and I stay loyal to the Lord, remain with an attitude of humility, working hard in the vineyard He has planted us, entrusting our future in His powerful hands and the greatness of His faithfulness, He will unite us with our other half if we’re single, bring divine connection with those who are assigned to our ‘boat’ with whom to fulfil destiny. Through that association will come our provision, protection and the presence and power of the Lord. God will do turn our hopelessness to joy unspeakable and full of glory. He will turn our Mara (bitterness) into sweetness beyond compare. He will lead us to green pastures and still waters and we will be abundantly satisfied.

So trust in the Lord today. Stay focused. Be not deterred by the difficulties you see today. Follow hard after the Lord. Lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him. And He will direct your paths. He will make your way smooth; He will make your pathway shine ever brighter to the full light of day. He will make everything beautiful in His time. He will wipe away your tears and those who called you Hopeless will see the brightness of your shinning and will come and rejoice with you as they see the goodness and mercy of the Lord follow you without measure. You will be a well-watered garden. You will not regret for putting your trust in the Lord. You will enter your promised land. In spite your present circumstances. Your God is in control. He is working behind the scenes. Your present bitterness will work for your betterment.
