Jesus said: But when you pray... Empty Jesus said: But when you pray...

Greetings, peace and blessings in the name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you (Mathe 6:6)
Jesus tells us what to do when we pray. There are three very important things to understand.

FIRST
We must enter into the inner chamber, and then shut the door. But where is the inner chamber? I have also been perplexed by this that why Jesus told us to pray in secret.

Inner chamber can be shutting off worldly worries and praying to Father. Whenever, in worries, we pray, we lose the essence of prayer. For example, if I have to face something the next day, I will not be able to pray to Father keeping that problem in front of me. In my prayers, I will keep on thinking, "What will happen tomorrow?". We need to shut out all the world while praying so that we are able to make a connection and relationship with Father. When we shut our "Inner Chamber" to worries and distractions, we pray better in spirit.

Spirit is product of God and worrying about worries is product of satan. Therefore, while praying, we need to shut out any part of satan that tries to challenge Father through worries. In worries, we always become doubtful, whether, Father will help us or not.

It can also be taken literally, that you go into the room and pray to Father, where you and Father are alone. It makes it very easy to pour out our hearts to Father.

When I tried this myself, I found out that I could be at ease with Father and I was able to open up my heart to Him. This way I became more closer to Father, because I am able to pray to Father in a peaceful state pouring out my heart to Him.

SECOND
The second most important thing to remember is that when Jesus says to pray to Father, we must have faith that we are praying to Father and He is listening to us according to His promise made to us centuries ago.

Call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (Jeremiah 29:12-13)

THIRD
The third important aspect in this verse is will reward you. Whenever we pray to Father, the reward lies with Him only. Reward, to me is answer to our prayers. This is an act of faith described by Jesus, that whenever, we pray to Father, we must believe in our hearts that Father will reward our prayers.

This can also be taken literally in spiritual and worldly possessions, where we ask Father to send Holy Spirit on us or we ask Father to help us in a situation or helping us to get something.

May the Father bless you to pray in spirit.

God bless all
