Score Card
I pulled out my Christian Score Card and un-pocketed my pen
My haughty eyes scanned the page; I pondered, where to begin
Denying the lusts of the flesh; was first of my many checks
And be ye holy as Christ is holy; drew my biggest boldest “X”
Being content with what I have and proclaiming Christ’ good news
Pondering the scoring within my mind; came another check, then two
A check to living in one accord, with others in the faith
And helping those less fortunate; brings another check to a space
Conforming to the ways of Christ and praying without cease
Pondering the scoring once again; brought checks to both of these
One for, do not conform to the world; and one for wait and watch for Christ
And I even put a check in the space; present your body as a living sacrifice

Grading myself on my Christian life as many of us do
Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

Irv, this is a great reminder that if we judge ourselves, HE will not judge us.
And to do a daily inventory on those things that we must cast aside. Loved this. tc
