Little by Little

Entering the Promised Land,
You must take your stand,
Keeping His command
And holding on to His hand.
But the strategy is: little by little.
Are You faced by a pathway foe;
Blocked, bared by deep fallen snow?
And your shovel's small, weak, inadequate
You’re distressed, fuming, infuriated?
The way forward is just, little by little.
Facing a task mammoth, enormous;
Overwhelms, strains, mountainous?
See yourself bold and daring as David;
Let the big picture live, be vivid.
One step at a time, little by little.
Opposition comes from left, right and centre.
You’re tempted to go helter -skelter.
Stop! Don’t stray. Pray. Be patient.
What you see is fleeting, transient.
Don't dither, go little by little.
Keep in step with the Master.
That is what matters.
His way always better
Our ways bring fetters.
And the strategy is: little by little.
To take dominion,
He wants submission,
not your opinion,
worse still rebellion.
To gain all your ground
Without being bound,
The strategy is : little by little.
Compromise will bring demise.
Conformity will bring deformity.
Transformation births domination.
Obedience, not convenience, is of essence.
Enter no ill –treaties
Worship no demonic entities.
Intimacy, integrity, purity and maturity,
Will go a long way on this Way-
The New and Living Way.
Be not moved no matter what people say,
Come what come may, stay on the Way.
Patience is a virtue
And it is good for you.
Wisdom is principal
You need much, not small.

Little by Little is nothing more than patience. But do we really know what the meaning of the word patience means? From the Greek it means; "to be consistently constant or to be the same way all the time, regardless of what happens."
