I Saw the Light
On that great day
After the night
When the dame left
The penny dropped
Came face to face
With King, Robed
I was accused.
No alibi
Admitted guilt
Before Most High
Absolved, pardoned.
Given New Life
And a New Name
Abundant Life
Given New Hope.
The old has gone
And New has come
The man was born
His Kingdom come.
On the straight road
Leading to Home
Given my load
to Prince of Peace.
Pressing daily
to the City:
Felicity
Heaven, my home.
Fighting the foe
Come from the fall.
I dare to go
In Jesus’ Name.
