Caught in a snare and a web
He came and broke my chains
He stemmed the life that ebbed
Brought and decreed His reign
Facing a death sentence
He came and paid the price
And released me to dance
Made he who was down, rise!

Fear choked, mocked and debased
But faith came, lifted high
Made my feet like deer’s raised.
So I’ll praise the Most High!
