Giving and Living

Those who live for others
have invested in eternity.
You cannot love without giving,
But you can give without loving.
Living to give is better
than living to get.
Love knows no colour
and speaks all languages.
Love may play the fool
but love is no fool.
The more you give
the richer you get.
Giving is living
Living is giving.
Giving is sowing
from which you reap the fruit of joy.
The more you live to get
The poorer and sadder you become.
Those who get all they can
and can all the get and sit on the can
Have a miserly miserable plan.

This reminds me of the Lord telling us to buy
riches that moths cannot eat or treasures that
thieves cannot steal. The Lord wants us to buy of
him, treasures that will last in heaven. This is just the
fruits of that treasure, Love working in us and through us.
