How old was Jehoiachin when he became king of Jerusalem?
	(a) Eighteen (2 Kings 24:8)
	(b) Eight (2 Chronicles 36:9)

Was Jehoiachin 18 years old or 8 years old. Don't they contradict each other? Notice the verses below, how long did he rule Jerusalem? 3 months or 3 months 10 days? Why are there are so many numerical errors in the Bible? Who wrote it and is Bible the word of God? How long did he rule over Jerusalem?
	(a) Three months (2 Kings 24:8)
	(b) Three months and ten days (2 Chronicles 36:9)

There is not a discrepancy between the two scriptures. 2Kings 24:8 & 2Chronicles 36:9.

Jehoiachin was eighteen and became king after his father Jehoiakim died. 2Kings 24:6

Jehoiakim was taken away to Babylon; 2 Chronicles 36:6.

At that time a son could become king at any age.

The people would have considered Jehoiachin king during the absence of Jehoiakim because they had no way of knowing if he would return.

Thank you Irv for explaining this passage and yes it is true that, legally he became king when his father died and he was 18 years old when he was crowned King.
