Did Jesus die on the cross?

As against the teaching of the Master (Jesus) that salvation only comes through keeping of the commandments (Mathew 19:16-17), Paul nails the law and the commandments to the cross Paul nails the law and the commandments to the cross (Colossians 2:14) 1 and claims that salvation can only be obtained through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ

"If Christ be not risen from the dead, then our preaching is vain, and your faith is also vain." (1 Corinthians 15:14)

If Jesus died on the cross then why

As an atheist I would here agree with Jesus, he smply escaped from death and he was alive for if he was dead then the disciples could not touch his flesh.

The answer to your question is Yes Jesus died on the cross. Now you are quoting muslim scholars? Resurrection means, to be raised up in bodily form. We see spirits because on judgement day, every body will be raised up just like Jesus Christ was raised up by the power of Heavenly Father. We talk of resurrected body and not resurrected spirit.

The disciples were confused because this was the first time they were seeing a Resurrected Body. No where in the recorded history a person was seen in a bodily form after his death. We have seen records of spirits of dead people interacting with relatives or tribes but no one has ever heard of a person dying and then after his death, was raised up in body. Jesus showed His disciples that He died and was raised up from the dead and He was alive.

You have quoted muslims here, so in their faith also, everyone will be raised up in bodily form on the day of judgement.

Regarding Mary, it is written that she thought that she was talking to a gardner. It is not written that Jesus disguised Himself as a gardner. Now don't twist the verses of the Bible. When tears roll down your cheek, you vision gets blurred and so this is what happened to Mary. With all that grief and tears, she could not make out whom she was talking to.

Sometimes, I think, if muslims are correct in saying that Jesus was not crucified, then, all the Jews, the Roman Empire were the biggest fools of all time. In fear of a revolt, Pilate gave over Jesus to be crucified, knowing that He was innocent, do you think, if Jesus escaped, would he be afraid of revolt and the King of his failure to perform a duty?

The most important thing is that if Jesus died and was not resurrected, then where are His bones? Where did He go? The Bible says, that Heavenly Father raised Him from the dead and He now sits at the right hand of Heavenly Father. Jesus is alive and He is the only LORD and Savior. Every tongue in the end would confess that Jesus is LORD and Savior, so why not to accept it now, for it is never late. Yes it will be too late when you die.

What was nailed to the cross was your sins in the person of Jesus. Do some further research and you will fime the "law contained in ordences' was a Greek expression for the legal written dept owed. The ten commandments could not have been done away with or I would be all right to commit adualtry and kill etc. but it's not.
