St. Patrick's Day
Hey all! can anyone of you explain me, is celebrating St. Patrick's Day pagan? I know that it is an Irish festival and this year it is being celebrated after Easter. I also know that Saint Patrick was a Roman Catholic and it is celebrated in his honor. What I do not know is why people call it pagan.

Re: St. Patrick's Day
I am not going to get into whether it is pagan or not. St. Patrick prayed to God because of snakes in Ireland. God listened and made Ireland snake free country. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated to commenorate the death of St. Patrick. Whether it is pagan or not, I do not judge, for Irish do not use pagan rituals in it. I may be wrong but it is how it is. If you want to call it pagan because it is a Roman Catholic Holiday, then it is a believer's choice.
God bless youTherefore, do not let anyone judge you what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath Day. (Colossians 2:16)
